India Real Time Editor
The Wall Street Journal is seeking a news editor for the India Real Time vertical. The person would work with reporters across South Asia, and commission and edit content to produce a daily list of lively and timely posts on politics, economics and business from the region.
An excellent grasp of how to promote those posts on social media is a must and an ability to jump on developing stories early to give a smart, Wall Street Journal take on events and to maximize traffic is essential. Experience in working with digital platforms, including mobile, is a big plus.
Candidates should have excellent writing and editing skills and be able to work quickly and accurately. Knowledge of visual tools and ability to transform data into compelling charts is also valuable.
